but the real stars of the story are....

folks, mark and I have been so blessed by so many people on this trek already.

the Linkas - outstanding hospitality and company. we were blessed to be able to call their beautiful home ours for the weekend in preparation for flying out to San Francisco. Saturday we kayaked late afternoon along a beautiful inland waterway off the ocean (right outside the Linka's backyard no less) and later on enjoyed excellent enchiladas for dinner from the talented hands of mrs. Linka. Sunday brought us a great message from mr. Linka at their home church, more deliciousness from Mrs. Linka at lunch (marinated chicken & mozzarella on ciabatta), a birthday party for the ages celebrating 5 years of Brenner, a grand tour of the area by boat thanks to mr. Linka, and a rather thrilling film, joined by Meredith and Braxton. what a weekend.

Alexis Linka - waking up ridiculously early to drive us to the airport, praying over our trip, letting me steal mark from you for so long, putting up with sweaty, smelly boys on the LONG drive from Michigan - you rock, Lexi.

All Saints Anglican Church (the Linkas church) - your generosity, your openness to welcoming mark and I to worship with you on Sunday, so many stories and laughs we shared in so short a time. thank you.

John Weiss - brilliant. filling us up with delicious food, Bay Area knowledge, bike route wisdom, and such an incredible excitement for being out on the road on our bikes. you're enthusiasm is contagious and irresistible. thanks for making it so easy on us out here, we would never have been able to make this possible without you and Alison's help.

Alison - maps! questions answered! route advice! gear advice! thank you thank you thank you!

and to all our family and friends back at home and elsewhere, thank you. we've seen the Lord open door after door for us and I know this is because you are praying for our safety and our mission.

love from out west,

joshua & mark
